岳嵘琪，天水市秦安县人，1976年毕业于甘肃师范大学美术系（现东南 师范大学），1982年结业于浙江美术学院。现任东南 师范大学美术学院院长、教授；著名油画家，甘肃省美术家协会理事，甘肃省油画艺术委员会履行 主任。
次要 从事美术教育工作２５年，同时开展油画技法研讨 与油画创作。油画作品多次参加国家及省级各类美术展览，并获奖。近年来，创作的《雪霁》、《春雪》、《清真寺》等油画作品分别在《美术》杂志、《文艺研讨 》、《人民日报》、《艺术研讨 》、《美术报》多次发表；
《秋韵》、《黄河之冬》前后 参加国家级展览；作品《秋韵》获“首届中国丝绸之路节”绘画精品展优秀奖、全国第二届教师优秀美术作品展优秀奖；《黄河之冬》入选“中国对外油画交流展”，《桑科草原》入选十届全国美术作品展，并获庆祝中华人民共和国成立55周年甘肃省美术作品展览特等奖。等。出版有理论研讨 专著《油画风景静物教学》和作品集《岳嵘琪油画作品集》。《油画风景静物教学》1 书，作为教学成果正式出版发行。在国内获高度评价。
