吴瀛原名吴耘，上海人。擅长漫画、短篇连环画。曾在上海美专学习，1940年加入新四军在解放军中作美 术工作。历任上海人民美术出版社编辑，《漫画》编辑部主任，中国美术馆展览陈列部副主任。作品有《红军的妈妈》、《抗美援朝的怒火》等。
