鲁光，原名徐世成。1937年出生，浙江永康人。中共党员。1960年毕业于华东师范大学中文系。历任《体育报》记者、编辑，国家体委干事、副处长、处长，中国体育报社社长兼总编辑，人民体育出版社社长、党委书记，高级记者。中华全国体育总会常委，全国记者协会第四届常委，亚洲体育记者联盟副主席，中国报告文学学会副会长，中国作家协会全国委员会委员，中国市长书画院艺术院长，中国体育报告文学研讨 会会长、中国生态书画院常务副院长。1982年加入中国作家协会。
著有报告文学集《东方的爱》、《踏上地球之巅》(合作)、《中国姑娘》、《把掌声分给她1 半》、《中国男子汉》，游记《在世界屋脊旅行》(合作)，电影文学剧本《第三女神》(合作)，散文集《写画人生》、《随缘笔记》，长篇纪实文学《中国体坛大聚焦》(合作)，传记文学《东方的凡·高》、《红色魔女》、《不进则退》、《世纪之战》、《生命写真》、《鲁光画集》等。《中国姑娘》获全国第二届优秀报告文学奖，《中国男子汉》获全国第四届优秀报告文学奖。
