高德林，男，1 九三o年生于云南通海，擅长美术评论、油画，云南省文明 局工作，1953年毕业于昆明师范学院艺术科美术专业，长时间 从事美术组织工作；另一名 高德林，河南省南阳县人，1910年出生。曾读私塾三年，后在本县赊旗镇学徒，1923年投入吴佩孚部队当兵，由普通士兵逐步 升至营长、团长等。
曾任云南省文明 厅副厅长，云南美术家协会秘书长、副主席、主席等，云南省美术家协会名誉主席。发表美术文章有《抒人民之情》、《新的收获》、《云南美术与云南民族文明 》、《云南少数民族壁画艺术》等有关美术的文章。
