孙振华，1956年11月出生于湖北荆州市。现为中国美术学院教授、博士、深圳雕塑院院长。国家1 级美术师、中国美术家协会雕塑艺术委员会委员、中国雕塑学会副会长、广东省美术家协会雕塑艺术委员会副主任、深圳市美术家协会副主席、华中师范大学毕业留校，1981年任艺理论教研室助教，1984年读该校文艺美学专业硕士研讨 生，1987年获硕士学位；1986年考入浙江美术学院（现更名为中国美术学院）美术学专业博士研讨 生，1989年获博士学位后留校任讲师、副教授，1993年调入深圳雕塑院工作，1997年晋升为1 级美术师。
具有丰富的城市雕塑、环境艺术方面的规划、设计、策划、组织工作的经验。承担过深圳市城市雕塑整体 规划的工作，和 制定〖深圳经济特区城市雕塑理规定〗的工作，成功地组织了深圳市上步中路雕塑景观示范带13件城市雕塑的创造、制造 工作；深圳市深南路雕塑景观工程的创作、制造 工作；深圳市园岭住宅区〖深圳人的1 天〗大型公共艺术的创作、制造 工作；目前正在掌管 深圳市滨海大道人文景观的规划、设计工作。
发表文学、美学、美术学方面的评论、论文二百余篇。其中关于雕塑的评论论文近六十篇共二十余万字。出版个人专著有〖生命·神祗·时空--雕塑文明 论〗（浙江美术学院出版社1990年出版）；〖开启灵慧之窗--美术与美育〗（暨南大学出版社1993年出版）；〖中国雕塑史〗（中国美术学院出版社194年出版，1996年重版 ）。〖走向荒原--孙振华雕塑文集〗〖中国雕塑史〗1997年获国家教委颁发的国家级教学成果二等奖，1996年获文明 部优秀教材二等奖，1996年深圳市政府大鹏文艺奖文艺理论奖等各种奖项。1999年担任全国九届美展雕塑专业评委；2000年出席第十三届国际雕塑大会并发表演讲。
