陶春林，男。1934年生于吉林省山城镇，曾用名陶光，号长白居士。中国美术家协会会员。曾任文明 馆、群众艺术馆、美术辅导教师，海龙师范学院（前身、美术教员），长白山报社美术编辑。吉林省美术家协会旧事 漫画艺委会委员、延边美协理事、漫画艺委会主任、延边漫画家协会副会长，长白山书画研讨 会会长、北疆冰雪画派、中国书画艺术研讨 院院士。长白山创作基地履行 主任等职。自幼习画。自1954年始以连环画、漫画、中国画多见于全国报刊、杂志。1960年后，曾任《长白山报》美术编辑、《长白山导游报》主编、长白山书画研讨 会会长。他广泛拜交良师益友张德江、张克让、王朝文、古元、于志学、黄秋实、杨德衡、周尊成、李骏等名家。四十年前，他阔别 喧嚣的城市，扎根于长白山，数十年如1 日，甘于寂寞，笔耕不辍，与长白山结下了不解情缘。在神绘长白山美丽自然景观的岁月中，他曾多次历险，经受伤痛。高耸 雄浑 的长白山练就了他豁达、幽默、诙谐的性情 ，使他直面且笑对风雨人生。长白山的天池瀑布、林海雪原、苍松古柏、红枫白桦、白鹤雄鹰、狼熊虎豹成了他不竭的创作源泉。他汇长白山山川灵秀于胸中，纳姹紫嫣红于笔端，将这无极造化的神采绘制成1 幅幅气势雄壮 、意境深邃的佳作，深得画届赞美 ，并曾多次在国内外展览中获奖和被收藏。其出版的《长白山画集》、《长白山山水画展》受到了各界很高的评价。经过二十多年的潜心探索，在传统技法基础上，创造了“对印留白法”、“泼墨泼彩控形法”、“搡纸拍扑法”等新技法。其传略被辑入《中国美术家》、《中国艺术家名人录》、《海峡两岸万名书画家简明辞典》、《世界知名作家艺术家辞典》等。
