1960年10月生，澄海人，汉族，1980年9月参加工作，1998年11月加入中国民主促进会，学历大学（广州美术学院师范系水彩专业），副教授。1980年9月后，汕头麻纺厂工人1982年9月后，在广州美术学院师范系水彩专业读书1986年8月后，汕头大学美术系教师，1998年12月晋升为副教授，2000年3月当选民进汕头大学总支主任2001年5月后，任汕头大学艺术学院美术系主任，2001年11月任民进汕头市委副主委2002年4月至今，任民进汕头市委主委、汕头大学艺术学院美术系主任。
