周补田，国家1 级画师，1950年生于山西省定襄县，1969年入伍、在海军东海舰队服役至今1982年油画《海底鼾声》全军画展获奖，1983年油画《摇篮》被中国美术馆收藏，1983年--1985年进中国美术院油画系进修，1987年--1994年浙江美协常务理事，1991年油画《宝座》在中国首届油画精品展获奖、被日本收藏，1996年上海市书画出版社出版《周补田油画集》，2002年油画《出访》获全国铜奖、获全军新作奖，2004年油画《相聚太平洋》入选全国第十届美术作品展，2005年油画《1937、浦江》被中国美术馆收藏作品曾在美国、加拿大、新加坡、日本、香港展出。现是海军专职美术创作员。
