张福昌（ZhangFuchang），江南大学教授、博士生导师。江苏无锡人。
1943年生于江苏省无锡市，
1966年毕业于无锡轻工业学院（现江南大学）。
1981年7月—1983年7月中国首批2人赴日本学习工业设计的日本千叶大学访问学者，
1997年10月—1998年10月千叶大学高级访问学者。现荣获日本千叶大学荣誉博士称号。曾前后 10多次应邀访问日本、韩国、美国和香港等国家和地区。
1986年以来担任：无锡轻工工业设计（现江南大学设计学院）系主任

最早1 批将古代 工业设计及其他艺术设计理念引入到中国的学者之1 ，奠定了中国工业设计教育基础，与清华大学美术学院（原地方 工艺美学学院）柳冠中教授并称“南张北柳”。奠定了无锡轻工大学设计学院设计教育的基础。1976年起在国内外专业刊物上发表论文200余篇，1983年起陆续出版《视错觉在设计上的利用 》、《设计概论》、《工业设计全书》（合著）、《中国民俗家具》、《工业设计》、《外型 基础》等50余部编、著、译图书，其中《视错觉在设计上的利用 》受到钱学森教授和庞薰教授的举荐和好评。1983年以来获全国优秀科技图书奖、国家教育部优秀教学成果二等奖、江苏省优秀教学成果1 等奖、轻工部工业设计1 等奖等数十项国家、省、部级奖。1985年起前后 获无锡市和江苏省劳动模范、无锡市优秀教育工作者、江南大学教学名师称号。1992年荣获国务院颁发的“在高等教育中作出突出贡献”的证书并享用 政府特殊津贴，1994年荣获国家级“有突出贡献的中青年专家”称号，2004年获江苏省优秀科技工作者等称号。
