张开济，客籍 杭州，1912年出生于上海，1935年毕业于南京地方 大学建筑系。建国前曾在上海、南京、成都、重庆等地建筑事务所任建筑师。建国后，历任北京市建筑设计院总工程师、总建筑师、高级建筑师，中国建筑学会第5 届副理事长、第六届常务理事。曾任北京市政府建筑顾问、中国建筑学会副理事长，1990年被建设部授予“建筑设计大师”称号，2000年获中国首届“梁思成建筑奖”。他曾设计天安门观礼台、革命博物馆、历史博物馆、钓鱼台国宾馆、北京天文馆、三里河“四部1 会”建筑群、中华全国总工会和济南南郊宾馆群等工程。1951年与孙靖完婚。于2006年9月28日在北京逝世。享年95岁。
