赵本，别名海晏。广东广州人。擅长绘画、雕塑。1939年参加抗敌演剧宣扬 第七队任美术组组长。1946年随中国歌舞剧艺术团，赴泰国、马来西亚、新加坡等地表演 。发表大量时事漫画。1949年奉令回国，组织华南文艺工作团，任美术部部长。1951年后历任广州市人民美术社社长，中国美协广东分会副秘书长。

Zhao Ben, also known as Haiyan. From Guangzhou, Guangdong. Good at painting and sculpture. In 1939, he took part in the 7th anti enemy drama publicity team and served as the leader of the art group. In 1946, he went to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and other places to perform with the Chinese musical troupe. Publish a lot of current affairs cartoons. In 1949, he was ordered to return to China and organized South China literature and Art Troupe as the Minister of the Ministry of fine arts. After 1951, he successively served as the president of Guangzhou people's Art Society and the Deputy Secretary General of Guangdong Branch of China Art Association.
