郭端本，安徽合肥人，1966年毕业于中国美术学院（原浙江美术学院）雕塑系。现任合肥工业大学建筑与艺术学院教授、硕士生导师。中国工艺美术学会雕塑专业委员会学术部委员、中国建筑学会建筑美术专业委员会委员、安徽省城市雕塑评审委员会评委。曾参加全国城市雕塑规划组掌管 的毛泽东纪念堂广场雕塑修正 方案的创作。获国家首批颁发的“城市雕塑创作设计资历 证书”。雕塑作品《红1 军军长许继慎像》、《王稼祥像》、《巢》、《桃之赋》录入《20世纪中国城市雕塑》、《中国肖像雕塑》。《季风》获2002中国北京国际城市雕塑艺术展提名奖。雕塑《静》被中国体育博物馆收藏。出版、展出的水彩画作品次要 有《雨中山村》、《黄和平》、《皖南民居》等，发表的论文次要 有《雕塑·建筑·环境》、《塑造人民群众心中的丰碑》、《园林雕塑小品创作偶得》、《建筑美术与形状 创造》等。
