1955年毕业于东南 艺术学院美术系雕塑专业。1955-1959年在甘肃省美术服务社工作。1960-1962年在兰州艺术学院美术系任教。1962年8月至1974年11月在敦煌文物研讨 所工作12年。1974年12月至1993年在甘肃省工艺美术公司研讨 所工作。1994年创立甘肃何鄂雕塑院。历任甘肃省工艺美术研讨 所所长、中国美术家协会理事，现任全国城市雕塑艺委会委员、中国雕塑学会常务理事、甘肃省美术家协会副主席、甘肃何鄂雕塑院院长。高级工艺美术师，1988-1997年任甘肃省政协第6届、第7届委员。

 1987年大型城市雕塑《黄河母亲》（花岗岩）获全国首届城雕优秀奖。

1989年粗陶彩绘《绣花女》获刘开渠雕塑艺术基金奖，中国美术馆收藏。

1992年8月当选中共14大代表；创作《艾黎何克与中国孩子》（花岗岩）建造于甘肃山丹培黎学校；创作大型城雕《边塞新乐章》（锻铜）建造于新疆石河子市文明 广场。在兰州举办“何鄂雕塑艺术作品展”。

1993年获国务院颁发的政府特殊津贴证书；在珠海举办“何鄂摹敦煌彩塑精品展”；雕塑作品参加在台湾举办的“海峡两岸雕塑作品交流展”；获中国工艺美术大师荣誉称号。

1995年作品参加第4次世界妇女代表大会举办的“中华女画家约请 展”；创作大型纪念雕塑《血战高台》（花岗岩）建造于甘肃高台烈士陵园。

1996年参加全国第6次文代会。

1997年作品参加香港回归“中国艺术大展”中国古代 雕塑艺术大展。

1998年在北京中国美术馆举办“何鄂雕塑艺术展”；获全国三八红旗手荣誉称号；获全国工艺美术优秀专业工作者奖状、奖牌。

 In 1955, he graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Northwest Academy of Art, majoring in sculpture. From 1955 to 1959, he worked in Gansu Provincial Art Service Society. From 1960 to 1962, he taught in the Department of Fine Arts, Lanzhou Academy of Art. From August 1962 to November 1974, he worked in the Dunhuang Institute of Cultural Relics for 12 years. From December 1974 to 1993, he worked in the Institute of Gansu Arts and Crafts Company. Gansu He'e Sculpture Institute was founded in 1994. He has been the director of Gansu Institute of Arts and Crafts, the director of China Artists Association, the member of National Urban Sculpture Arts Committee, the executive director of China Sculpture Society, the vice-chairman of Gansu Artists Association, and the president of Gansu He'e Sculpture Institute. Senior Arts and Crafts Artist, 1988-1997, Member of the 6th and 7th CPPCC Gansu Provincial Committee.

In 1987, the large-scale city sculpture "Mother of the Yellow River" (granite) won the first national excellent city sculpture award.

In 1989, the rough pottery painting "Embroidery Girl" won the Liu Kaiqu Sculpture Art Fund Award and was collected by the Chinese Art Museum.

In August 1992, he was elected as the 14th representative of the Chinese Communist Party. He created "Erihok and Chinese Children" (Granite) and built it in Danpeili School in Gansu Province. He also created a large-scale city sculpture, "New Frontier Fortress Movement" (Forged Copper) and built it in Shihezi Cultural Square in Xinjiang. He'e Sculpture Art Exhibition was held in Lanzhou.

In 1993, he was awarded a special government allowance certificate by the State Council; held a "Dunhuang Painted Sculpture Exhibition of He'e" in Zhuhai; participated in the "Cross-Strait Sculpture Exchange Exhibition" in Taiwan; and won the honorary title of a master of Chinese arts and crafts.

In 1995, his works participated in the invitation exhibition of Chinese women painters held by the 4th World Women's Congress, and created a large-scale commemorative sculpture, Bloody War Platform (Granite), which was built in Gaotai Martyrs'Cemetery in Gansu Province.

In 1996, he participated in the 6th National Cultural Congress.

In 1997, his works participated in the exhibition of modern Chinese sculpture art of Hong Kong's return to the "China Art Exhibition".

In 1998, he'e Sculpture Art Exhibition was held in Beijing China Art Museum. He won the honorary title of "March 8th Red Flag Handler" and the National Award and medal of outstanding professional workers in Arts and crafts.
