1965年至1979年从事工艺美术设计工作，1979年考入地方 美术学院国画系花鸟班录取为研讨 生，师从田世光、李若禅先生。1981年毕业。1982——1987年在地方 工艺美术学校任教，1987年10月调入中国画研讨 院工作。擅擅长 工笔花鸟画，作品曾多次参加国内外展出。多次为国家领导人创作大型陈设画及国家礼品画。现为中国画研讨 院专业画家、中国美术家协会会员、中国美协北京分会会员、工笔重彩画会会员，花鸟画研讨 会会员，当代工笔画学会会员。
