李毅松，湖南湘潭人。1985年毕业于湖南师范大学美术系油画专业，获学士学位。
现任湖南科技大学艺术学院院长，教授，硕士生导师，中国美术家协会会员，湘潭市美术家协会副主席，红荷书画院院长。其次要 作品入选第八届，第十届全国美术作品展览；中国第三届油画作品年展；全国第十二届“群星奖”获铜奖，湖南省文明 厅金奖；纪念毛泽东同志在延安文艺座谈会上讲话发表六十周年全国美术作品展览，获优秀奖，湖南省金奖；庆祝“建国5 十周年”湖南美术作品展览，获佳作奖。
1994年《工业脊梁》入选第八届全国美术作品展览；
1999年《大工业之二》中华人民共和国成立5 十周年湖南省美术作品大展“佳作奖”；
2002年《红色脊梁》全国第十二届“群星奖”铜奖；
